Criteria for selection of competitors for the National Road Team:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\u041d\u0430\u0446\u0438\u043e\u043d\u0430\u043b\u0435\u043d<\/p>\n

In races from the UCI calendar for the NOC, the leader in the national ranking at the time of the race, the top-ranked Bulgarian rider in the World Tour system, as well as the state champion on the road \/if there is a clock race in a stage race, then also the state champion in the clock race\/ must be invited. The remaining places are allocated at the discretion of the national coach according to the profile of the event and the current form of the competitors.
\nFor OI, SP, EP, BP the following criteria should be applied:
\nThe top ranked Bulgarian athlete in the World Tour system, the state champion in the respective discipline, the second highest ranked athlete in the World Tour system, the national ranking leader, the silver medalist from the DLS in the respective discipline and then supplemented by the ranking in the World Tour system. The exception is the BP where there are 2 quotas for elite men and 4 for under 23 men, there the state champions are selected and then the national coach has the right of reasoned choice.
\nFor juniors and seniors, the following principle applies:
\nThe state champion in the respective discipline, the leader of the national ranking, the silver medalist of the DLS in the respective discipline and then the national coach has the right of reasoned choice.<\/p>\n

\n

Criteria for the selection of athletes for the National Team in track:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\u041d\u0430\u0446\u0438\u043e\u043d\u0430\u043b\u0435\u043d<\/p>\n

For UCI calendar entries – the rider with the most points (according to the BFC ranking) from the disciplines speed by elimination and 1000m from the spot; the rider with the most points from the disciplines 4000m individual pursuit and omnium (double points from omnium are taken). In the case of team completion, the second from the disciplines speed by elimination and 1000m from the spot; the second from the disciplines 4000m individual pursuit and omnium (double points from the omnium are taken), and so on. The same criteria apply for the EP and the SP, with the TC proposing directly to the Board the line-ups for the team disciplines. Exceptions for individual disciplines are made only by decision of the SC. Suggestions for changes in the criterion to the SC may be submitted by the TC.<\/p>\n

\n

Criteria for determining the National Mountain Biking Team:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eligibility:<\/strong>
\nAll riders holding a valid license issued by the Bulgarian Cycling Federation.<\/p>\n

Scope of the disciplines:<\/strong>
\nXCO – Cross Country Olympic
\nDHI – Downhill
\n4X – Foor-Cross
\nXCM – Cross Country Marathon
\nEND – Enduro<\/p>\n

Extended composition<\/strong>
\nThere is no maximum number of riders that can enter the expanded National Mountain Bike Team<\/p>\n

Participation in significant competitions of the international competition calendar (covered by the BCF budget)<\/strong>
\nThe participation of a certain number of riders in an important event of the international racing calendar is determined according to the restrictions and requirements set by the International, European and Balkan Cycling Unions, the current physical condition of the riders, the financial parameters and the need for a given participation of the National Team, in accordance with the total financial budget of the BFC for a given racing season. The financial support for the participation of a National Team in a given competition is subject to the decision of the BFC Board.<\/p>\n

Participation in significant competitions of the international competition calendar (covered by the budget of BFC member clubs)<\/strong>
\nThe BFC is obliged to support administratively the participation of certain riders in an important event of the international racing calendar, taking into account the restrictions and requirements set by the International, European and Balkan Cycling Unions. The BFC is obliged to provide the riders with the use of an established national team for the respective discipline.<\/p>\n

Selection of an expanded National Mountain Bike Team<\/strong>
\nThe selection of riders for the National Mountain Biking Team is based on the results achieved in the previous season, the results achieved on the date of a given participation in a race of the international calendar, and the ranking of the DLOS for the given and the previous season. All results are scored according to the International Cycling Union scoring system (see attached table), with the results of the DLOS multiplied by two (see attached example).
\nThe rider with the higher points total has an advantage in a given event on the international calendar.<\/p>\n

\n– Bulgarian Cycling Series
\n– Other national cups and competitions from the international calendar held on the territory of Bulgaria<\/p>\n
